What Death Does

Hi Folks!

I have been thinking on this particular topic these last few days.

What does Death do?

To those who die and leave the body and to those who have to live on.

Well, to begin with, what (on earth) is death?

On earth, death (no caps) is separation.

If it has been sudden and unexpected, it brings some or all of the following-

Shock, disbelief, pain, guilt, anger, accusation, helplessness, and finally, a resigned acceptance which still has traces of the above.

If it is after a duration of illness or some sort of warning, there is anguish, fear -and almost all of the above.

There are dreams yet to be fulfilled, things yet to be said and much still to be shared.

The mind kind of shuts down.

All the words of strength and sympathy and love flow at a faraway distance and one may close up into a nice, comfortable, tight ball of misery.

To those who have to go on living, death contracts life itself.

What happens to the one who dies?

He or she also goes into a momentary shock, but it is of finding onself wonderfully, gloriously, as-never-ever-before alive.

If they have suffered any ailments, been blind, lame, deaf or been bed-ridden,they now find that these have vanished completely.

They can now soar, and fly and - oh, have complete freedom to expand.

They are not confined to their physical bodies any more.

Many, many of those who die, if they have led a clean life, not harmed by words or deeds, see their dear one who has come to receive them.

Maybe a parent or friend or someone from the large spirit family.

They happily go off with them.

To the Hall of Rest for awhile.

To take a preview of the life just left behind, and then sit with their spiritual guide to decide on the next course of action.

Compared to the life of their loved ones on earth, they do have a better, more fulfilling time!

In short, it seems, death expands and life contracts.

Hmmmmmnnnnnnnn.

Why am I dwelling on these sombre thoughts today?

Because my sweet husband died of a heart-attack on the golf course 11 days ago.

It was a test of all that I write about, all that I believe in.

The next night, when his body was still lying in state, I released all the negative impressions his spirit may have carried with him and did a closure for him.

I do this in almost every PLR session for my clients and now I did it for him!

A week later, I put a friend down to a calm peaceful level and asked him to go to the golf-course and give an account.

My husband hit the ball at the first hole, smiled happily, walked towards it, fell, tried to get up with the help of his club, fell again and when people reached him in no time, he was gone.

No pain, no twitching.

I asked my friend to follow his spirit.

He was greeted by his 'bestest' friend and my husband was 'elated' to see him.

He was still in transition and I was told I would be able to communicate with him and feel his touch after some time.

This validated all that I believe in and all that I do in my PLR sessions every day.

Death has expanded his consciousness.

He is in a happy place, which he gained entry into, by his goodness when he was alive on earth.

And me?!

I underwent all the emotions I have mentioned above as it was unexpected, but I am doing good.

I did not - will not contract.

Whether we expand or contract our life, depends only on one factor - courage.

And knowledge and Vipassana - gives one enough to carry on.

Bye for now.

PEACE- A Story

Hi Folks !

How are you?!

Someone sent me a lovely story on the true meaning of PEACE.

What is Peace anyway?

It is one of the most repeated and anguished cry of almost every one at some point or other of their lives.

'Peace of mind.Oh,all I want is some peace of mind.'

People solemnly, honestly try their level best to get it.

Attend various religious groups, sing, dance, go to the hills, take vacations with family or friends or strangers.

Many times, they get a few precious moments of peace in these ventures.

Many times they don't.

Peace, for some reason, seems to have a most elusive nature which makes you chase it breathlessly, non-stop.

Why is it so?

Let's go to the story!

There once was a King who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace.
Many artists tried.
The King looked at all the pictures, but there were only two he really liked and he had to choose between them.

One picture was of a calm lake.
The lake was a perfect mirror, for peaceful towering mountains were all around it.
Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds.
All who saw this picture thought that it was a perfect picture of peace.

The other picture had mountains too.
But these were rugged and bare.
Above was an angry sky from which rain fell and in which lightening played.
Down the side of the mountain tumbled a foaming waterfall.
This did not look peaceful at all.
But when the King looked, he saw behind the waterfall a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock.
In the bush a mother bird had built her nest.
There, in the midst of the rush of angry water, sat the mother bird on her nest... perfect peace.

Which picture do you think won the prize?

The King chose the second picture.

"Because," explained the King, "peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work.

Peace means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart. That is the real meaning of peace."

Lovely, isn't it?

Peace is to be found inside us.

We may go anywhere, our mind goes along with us.

It smiles, laughs, encourages, orders, orders some more - and we fall into a stupor.

Hand over the reins and then wonder why it is taking us n a roller-coaster.

The best thing is, we can regain control of our mind any moment we wish to.

It entails taking responsibility of our thoughts and actions,
Of our life.

Many of us are not very comfortable with this.

Taking responsibility of the team/s in office is one thing, you know, but our own mind?!

Learn from the mother bird.

She knew her priorities and nothing disturbed her.

She was at peace with herself and the outside nature.

Do It.

You can.
