The Poor-Me Energy Stealer

Hi Folks -!

How's Life?!

The weather usually affects our moods, and it's a bit sunny, a bit rainy, warm in the days and cool at nights right now.
So one has to make sure that the moods do not swing along with it.

That's life, so awareness, a smile and a song always adds to the flow.

Let's come to today's topic.
It's been on my mind for some time now.

There seems to be dissatisfaction and unhappiness in abundance.
Some personal relationships are not working out.
Professional progress seems to come up against all kinds of blocks.
And things seem to repeat themselves all the time.

Usually, notice is taken when a health problem crops up.
Then panic sets in.
Self - pity and depression are not far away.

Well!

Why are so many of us doing it to ourselves?

When you patiently start - and keep peeling the layers off your problems, many times, you discover that you are going at a tangent.
That the health problem is not due to a bug you caught.

Analyse your emotions and you will come up with anger or hopelessness or tiredness at how life is treating you.

And when you come to the core, you realize that you were expecting it all along.
That you 'always knew it'.

This is our safety mechanism to protect ourselves from getting hurt, but it actually ends up as a powerful means to mess things up because we 'expected it anyway'.

Many of us, just below the surface, are the 'poor-me's.
Going for clearly unattainable targets whether in relationships or finances or the workplace.

There will be a short period of intense activity and then the down-slide begins.
And because this is an established routine, the journey into self-pity and depression is faster.

Each time, it is more and more difficult to pull oneself up.

There are others who hide behind an 'all is well' cloak when things are clearly not.
The ego comes into play because the carefully cultivated public image does not allow for any cracks or tears.
When the mind insists on covering up, the body suffers.

All physical ailments begin in the mind.
If the tiny, single thorn is not removed immediately and painstakingly, it causes a lot of puss which hides the original culprit, the thorn.
The wound will grow bigger by the day and no anti-biotic will heal it.
Discussions, arguments and attitude will not help.
And amputation will leave the thorn in tact and even more strong in it's original place - the mind.

It is the thorn which has to be removed.

Many times, or to be truthful, most of the times, our low self-esteem creates these vortexes for us, working constantly, insidiously in our mind.

There is really no need for any of us to harbour the slightest feeling of a low self-image.
Each one of us is unique with unique challenges chosen by us when we were 100% sane and in a state of complete consciousness.

If you are repeatedly choosing wrong friends or relationships or jobs, that is the temptation you have to get over.
It is the many so called 'short-terms' put together which make a long term, so always think of your life as a wholesome whole because each and every emotion you sow today will be in full bloom sooner than you think.

Respect yourself. Love yourself. And trust yourself.
Deep down, you are wiser than you show.
And wiser than you know...

Healing Yourself -

Hi Folks - !

How's Life?!

Smile - and agree that it's actually better without listing out how it could have been worse!Things can be good just by themselves without any baggage of comparision.

There are some nice questions and let's look at them first.

Ishani asks -'How do we heal people?

Tricky stuff, is Ho'oponopono!

The good Doctor first accepted that the criminal insanity in those inmates was an outer manifestation of the violence that was deep within his own self.

This is the most important part.

We heal ourselves.

You don't think of 'healing' Nelson Mandela or Roger Federer.

(Hey - it's tough to find living examples! Send me a few -!)

Only those people come in our vision who have something common with us at a surface or a deep level.

You may think of someone who nags constantly, is angry, vicious, depressing company, negative, a terrorist -

If you want to heal - say, a suicide bomber- it does not mean you have an affinity for him. Its just that you understand his compulsions because you have felt his anger/ helplessness/ recklessness at some some point of time in your life's journey so far.

So go on and do the Ho'oponopono on a trial basis, you will see the change in yourself too.

You can do it for as long as it is possible to do.

During your daily commute, while waiting for something/someone, early in the morning or before dozing off to sleep -

That's enough, just try to be consistent.

What we need to understand is that we are all connected even though we may not see the connection in the parametres that we are used to seeing.

A drop of Ganges at Gangotri, its source is called Ganges.

Another, totally different one where she meets the sea is also Ganges.

It's the source which is the same, just as the source of all of us - terrorists, murders, philanthropists, saints and gods - is also the same.

So what the good doctor was doing was, to heal that violence/fury/despair within his own self which had appeared in another.

On a practical level, if you want to heal someone of say, their short-temperedness, check - and heal the same within your own self.

Those people may be angry for a reason you may not know or find trivial - for them, it's good enough.

Now say 'I'm Sorry', 'Please Forgive Me', 'Thank You' and I Love You' as sincerely as you can and as many times as you can.

Some times, you may find yourself saying only the first 2 lines.

Or the first 3 - or all 4.

Trust your sub-conscious - which is very wise, and go with the flow.

It is your own clutter that you will be getting rid of.

Now for the next one, Vaishali's, which came in mail and I'm reproducing -

'I have a question on your blog of July 01, 2010 - How Universe helps clear debts.

Its greaaaaat to know your understanding and interpretation of the incidence of stolen camera. This is indeed a new insight for me to look at life from this angle. However, there’s one thing that I could not understand ‘why you requested someone else (in this case, your cousin Ranjana) to contact your spiritual guide/master? ‘

As per my understanding, each one of us can ‘be in contact’ / ‘communicate’ with our own spiritual master guide very easily?

At the time of my PLR session with you, I had a very clear experience of the presence and guidance of my spiritual master guide. Also, since then, I have developed this habit of communicating with him all my thoughts / problems, and I am very glad to share with you, that I am getting help every time in an amazing way. I will definitely share some of it with you.'

Awesome, isn't it?!

To be able to stay in touch with your own Spirit Guide whose work it is to make sure you are on your chosen path, learning the lessons that you intend to.

Many of my PLR clients come for all kinds of stuff - curiosity, various health, work and relationship issues, but along with those answers, they also go back clearer about their purpose of life.

I am in touch with my own guide too - and get messages and scoldings and am sent scurrying for the most amazing tasks totally unconnected to me!

Here, I had lost someone else's camera - and in locating it, my own wallet too!

The wallet did not bother me much (though I was curious) as I 'knew' my cards would not be misused and I had been 'made ' to take out the $100 notes the day before!

Trupti's camera certainly muddled me and I wanted the answers from someone totally unconnected.

However, it was a short-cut and I should not use it!

Thanks for the message!

Today's post was supposed to be on the effects of lack of self -esteem on one's thoughts and health.

There seems to be some kind of an epidemic - one gets carried away by the expectations of others - and our own too, and then the burden becomes way too heavy to carry.

The list of illnesses is long and scary, and we are doing this to ourselves, no one is doing it to us.

More on this, next time!

Share your thoughts and views on this as well as your interesting experiences of out -of - ordinary help, of your guides - !

Bye for now, have a great fortnight.
