Affirmations

Hi folks !

How have you been ?

I did a 10 day course of Vipassana from the 15th to 26th at Igatpuri , the World Centre which is located 3 hours from Mumbai.

Igatpuri gets the 2nd highest rainfall in the country and it had seriously set out to prove it !

The rains were constant and extremely heavy and every day, we lived in clouds from evening to almost mid-morning!

There's a 3000' high and about a mile long range of hills on one side and there were millions of waterfalls to be seen when the clouds allowed us a peep.

Now, I'm back - completely refreshed and happy and joyous, from deep within!

Thank you for your responses of the earlier post !

Many chose to send by mail.

It is a bit daunting, isn't it?

Bina - travelling light is actually the only way to travel, either here or there!

Shouldn't carry baggage in our mind - that's not what the mind is meant for!

I will write about Metta in my next post- it's a beautiful, if slightly unsettling concept (atleast to begin with! - was to me!).

Akky's response is so gentlemanly! Thank you - and you are invited for a Past Life Regression session !

Since that session with Tanisha, I've taken 2 others to meet their loved ones.

One gentleman had lost his 5 yr old daughter 6 months ago and a lady met her father who'd died a few years ago.

Both gave clues and infomation which could be validated and a lot of advice to solve current issues.

Having got the bigger picture, they're now working on their own mindsets and habit-patterns to learn their lessons. They're much more at peace now.

Now for this wonderful topic - Affirmations.

The mere word oozes positivity, doesn't it ?!

Every sound has a vibration.

Every thought generates vibration too.

Remember how silence can be oppressive or pregnant or serene?

Every action begins with its seed of thought in the mind and a seed has all the qualities of the full-blown tree in it.

As we 'think things over', energy is generated and the thought starts to manifest in our universe, our mental canvas.

From there, the bigger canvas of the outside world is a mere formality.

While thinking things over from many angles, many times, the doubts, suspicions, obstacles and problems overwhelm the tiny sapling and it gets a huge dose of it right from its birth.

We do really need to have more faith in ourselves, our projects and thoughts and also in the power of thoughts.

An affirmation is keeping and sustaining faith in oneself.

When someone says 'Oh whatever's best will happen' or 'whatever's to happen will happen anyway', they do no good to their sapling of desire ,this is just a huge dose of indifference.

Affirmations create powerful positive vibrations which nurture the thoughts and actions in all their layers, in all the dimensions.

Have you heard of Dr. Masaru Emoto, the Japenese scientist who experimented on water, subjecting it to various emotions from love to hatred, and just see the crystals formed when this water was frozen in droplets !

(Google Masaru Emoto and you will get the sites).

Similarly, Louise L. Hay has written some interesting books on Affirmations after researching on thoughts and their effect on our body and the enviroment.

Afirmations work better if there's some faith involved.

Each Chakra too has its own affirmation and you can access them from the Chakra sites.

There's a beautiful book - 'Being Happy' by Andrew Matthews and then there's 'The Secret' by Rhonda Byrns - they stress on the importance of self-belief and a positive attitude.

Affirmations help you sweep away the cobwebs which keep you bound to the old negative habit-patterns and release you to soar.

Make up your own affirmations as per your own thoughts and needs.

Keep them simple. Dont let there be any doubt or negativity in a round-about way. It happens unconsciously, like you may fervently say 'I dont want to fall ill during the vacations' and you certainly will !

The U niverse does not understand anything negative, so that part gets deleted and whats left is what you dont want !
So go ahead and write a few drafts. Keep them short. Revise.
They will work faster and better if you include others in it too.
Believe in them, the universe and in yourself.
Be happy!

There IS life after death.

Hi folks !

We will get to Affirmations later!

With the permission of Ranjana and Tanisha, I want to share something lovely with all of you.

Do you remember one of the earlier posts-'You fared well, dear friend'?

A very dear relative of mine who was more of a friend, died all of a sudden on 28th March.

Ajit, who used to read this blog once in a while and shake his head at the contents.

Awwwwwwwwww !

Life after death?

Who wants to know!

And why?!

His passing away was a tremendous shock to all his friends and 'sons and daughters' all over the world too.

Tanisha is one such 'daughter' of his who had an extremely tough time coping because she was in US and far away from everyone who knew him, with whom she could share the sorrow and let it out.

When she came to Pune, she came for a Past Life Regression session where I'd promised to take her through all the lovely times she had spent with him and Ranjana.

I was sure it would help start the healing process.

When she came, we decided to sort out a few current isssues first. She went through a few past lifetimes and then came to the Cave to meet her Master.

It was Jesus, who patiently, smilingly answered her queries, clarified the lessons to learn etc.

Then I told her-

Ask, how is Ajit?

And she gaped(eyes still closed) -

He's theeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !
In the cave!

ASK - WHAT HAPPENED?

And she started narrating their conversation which Im giving verbatim.

'Because it was time. He's going to wait for all of us.'

'He's saying, take care of Ranjana, he loves her a lot. She was the best thing that happened to him.'

'He went for D's graduation (his real(!) daughter- in the US) and he's very proud of her'.

Jesus is just smiling. He doesn't swear in front of Jesus!

(Which, knowing Ajit, must have been an awesome effort)!

He says he loves me (Tanisha).
I told her to give him a hug.
She did, and got one in return too!

I said,'Tell him I love him too'.
He smiled and tapped on my head.
(I didn't feel a thing!).

Ask, is there anything I can do?
And he said, - 'Nothing different. Just do what you're doing'.

Tell him to keep an eye on all of us.

He will.

Then Tanisha laughed and giggled and had tears streaming down - he was laughing, cracking aweful jokes which only he could - and Jesus was laughing too, because Ajit was still trying to watch the bad words !

Finally, he waved and sauntered off.

She's over the pain and anguish of his death. She knows that all are under his caring and love and that they'll all meet when each leaves this body.

When I mailed the account to Ranjana who's in US, her response was typical-

O hhhhh ???!!!
Does he believe in life after death atleast now?!
ASK HIM!

Yessss!
Next time!

Its good to have this kind of unexpected validation of one's beliefs.

Next time I regress someone close to him, Im going to try and get some more validation.

After death, Ajit is happy, relaxed, smiling - the way he was here, or maybe more so.

When you lose someone to death, do mourn, but then, move on and let them do so too.

They will be more proud of you and you can meet them without any guilt when you yourself die.

Dying, after all, is going home, isn't it?!

So what do you think of this?
Each word is true.

Reflect on this, and let us know.
Bye for now.
