Past life regression - more questions

HI FOLKS !

Hows Life been ?

There are some nice, practical questions s on Past Life Regression from Arun and lets take them up.

His queries are,

Where do I go for PLR ?

Can I do it own my own or do I need a guide ?

Lets answer the second question first.

The technique for Past Life Regression is a precise one, like an operation of the mind, so I think one should understand what exactly happens here.

Lets start at the very beginning !
A very good place to start !

Think of the mind as a circle.

ONLY the top 10 - 12% is our Conscious Mind.

All the rest of it is the SUB Conscious Mind. There is NOTHING unconscious in the mind.

From the age of about 2, when a child starts to ask questions , when reasoning and logic and intellect and yes, THE EGO start to make their appearance in the mind, something called a Critical Filter begins to appear between the two sections. '

But why?', 'How' ?,'Why Not?', 'I dont believe this', 'Maybe, but I STILL dont believe/think/feel its true' and so on create this barrier between the free flow of knowledge between the two parts.

The Sub - Conscious is the repository of ALL the memories 0f ALL the previous lifetimes.

In the Western method that I follow, all that I do is remove this critical filter so that your OWN conscious mind can access a past life and retrieve the relevant memories.

I do NOT control your mind.

You are aware of the happenings, will remember everything later.

Induction into a past life is very important.

Many are eager but find that they can't go because deep down, there may be fear or a past-life trauma that the mind is not prepared to observe as yet.

These have to be addressed first.
At times, one may ask to go to a lifetime to solve a specific problem like for eg. an indifferent/short-tempered spouse.

Here you may want to go to a previous life where you were with this person and find out the WHY?s.

However, you may instead see one where you led a quiet, linear lifetime which had problems but they were taken care of by someone or the other.

In such cases, the Integration part of the Therapy becomes very important.

Is being a passive driftwood a part of your mental make-up now too?

Then thats what you have been shown - a facet of your personality which you need to address to eventually solve the main problem.

This joining of the dots after coming out of Regression is very important.

There is mental work, conscious thinking to do.

Remember, we dont prescribe medicines ! I

ts counselling, then awareness and changing the old pattern.

Hence, a trained, qualified, experienced person is essential to get the complete benifit.

All three are equally important.. -Induction, Regression and Integration.

If you are in PUNE, you are welcome to come to my clinic !

There is Dr. NEWTON in Hyderabad, CHII in Delhi and Mumbai.

There are therapists trained by them in atleast some of the big cities.

I think if you type past life regression therapist+ name of city and google search, you may get a reply.

Or write to Dr. Newton's http://www.liferesearchacademy.com/ and find out if anyone trained by them is in your city.

Or to the http://www.californiahypnosis.in/ for the same.

If unsure when you go, confirm that the Therapist practises the Western method of Hypnotic
modalities which I have explained above.

It is always better to discuss what exactly is going to take place.

There is nothing to fear, everything to gain.

The Eastern Method, practised in all the Oriental countries, is actually what gave Hypnosis a very bad name all over the world.

This is what you see in Magic Shows and Fairs etc. when the subject has no control over is mind, obeys completely and does not remember later.

On the other hand, in the Western Method, a part of the conscious mind itself focusses , the critical filter is removed and one consciously gathers information, so there is no fear of being under someone else's control.

Actually, one does not need to have a problem to undergo this!

Its fun !

And great as life's Mid-Course correction.

So all the best, all of you!

Go ahead and have fun !

Exercising the mind and body

HI FOLKS !

Its a nice day today.

The 14th of January.

Today the Sun enters Aries and starts a new cycle all over again.

Its the change of season in most of India.

Beginning of the end of winter.

Just think -

What if the Sun was lazy ?

Bored of routine ?

Or just wanted a break ?

He sure deserves one !

Hmmmmnnnnnnn !

Lets take up Mandar's questions today.

They quite fit in.

He's mentioned lack of consistency in meditating and exercising.

Thats the Mind and the Body, and it's always Mind over Matter, so let's take Meditation first !

What exactly does one do when one meditates ?

One says to oneself 'I have to do this now, then this, and then the next step'.

Then one does it as best as one can.

But WHO is this who is actually saying, and who is the one actually obeying?

It is WE who give the command and the mind which follows.

These two entities are different.

We are NOT our mind.

Our mind is , intelligent, egotistical, manipulative and swings us like a rag doll.

It works - or rules us, actually and makes us do things which we many times are uncomfortable with or even regret later.

We do not know how to control it because we identify with it so closely.

We feel we are one and the same.

When we learn to meditate, thats the first thing we learn - in Vipassana meditation, by experiencing it, that there are two players here, and one of them is very clever and stubborn !

It is WE who tell it to go here or stay there, and it has to obey.

It does not like this at all, this subjugation, so it will create every possible kind of obstacle.

Bloating our ego to make us feel we dont need to meditate at all is the first and a brilliant trick.

We say ---Aaahh!

I dont really need to meditate, you know, it's actually my wife/husband/boss who would benifit if they practised.

And then we give a long enthusiastic lecture on the tremendous benifits of meditating.

But we would have actually, quietly discontinued at the earliest opportunity long ago.

It is also because we have now learnt the technique and 'Can get back to it whenever needed'.

So we stop meditating every day.

And pile up the stress and strain and anger at the traffic or worries over money quite freely, because we KNOW what to do.

Point is, mere knowing does not help at all.

It is effective only if it is practised.

So the only way to get out of the roller-coaster mediocrity imposed by the mind is to be stern with it and despite lethargy, distaste, 'no-time', 'once a wk/month/as- and- when- is- enough' excuses, take a deep breath and start. Everyday. Regularly.

Immedeately after getting up in the morning, after brushing and washing your face with cold water is a good time.

The next is as soon as one comes back from office/college/school.

Of course any other time which suits you is fine too.

Dont let new excuses creep in !

Now the Body and exercising it.

For most part, it is the mind which hates being exercised.

Both physically and mentally.

It has to obey orders so here too it creates obstacles which sound and feel very legitimate.

Mandar has mentioned past life effects too.

Its true in some cases.

I am making new discoveries and they are surprising but fit in very well with our overall growth.

1. If one has had one or more lifetimes when one has used physical strength or the body for survival and/or progress, one can be uncaring towards it in this lifetime.

For example, if one has been a warrier and killed, fought, been a prostitute or used the body for advancement, then the thought, in SOME cases, may follow to this lifetime that 'I dont want to be strong/beautiful/.'

The last or the most dominant thought at the time of death usually follows and if negative, it becomes the habit-pattern that one has to break.

But being strong, the will-power needed has to be stronger too and this is where - go back to the earlier paras on mind-control !

2. This is not always the case. Mostly it is the mind which wants a free rule over us. So forget about foreign energies, our own are powerful enough to make us miserable !

3. It may be that one consciously or unconsciously feels that as Spiritual Development is important, the body can or has to be ignored.

This is again the mind's brilliant reasoning to make one feel very spiritual when one is not exercising !

Each one of us may have one or more of these or other reasons to avoid good health.

We have to check out the reasons and get rid of them.

BEST OF LUCK to all of you !

Just get on with both Physical Exercise and Meditation.

both the mind and body will become and stay healthy.

These were very basic but brilliant questions and THANK YOU for them, Mandar !

So long for now-

Past life regression - why do it ?

Hi folks -

Wishing all of you a stress-free and contented year of spiritual growth and joy.

I'm late again, and have many questions to answer!

Lets take Priyanka's query today -

In essence, why undergo Past Life Regression at all ?

How will knowing about it help in the present one ?

If a person behaves in a certain way, and it is an effect of past life, how can we change that trait in him / her?

Lets see what we can do about these questions.

Why are you Priyanka and me, Shubha ?

Why am I not so many things I wish I was ?

Same goes for you.

So what exactly is THIS life ?

If you open a book at random and start to read, you cannot understand the story.

Similarly, when you think about your current life, many things dont make sense.

Despite very hard work, we repeatedly lose out at the last minute, or we repeatedly get into dissatisfactory relationships, or abusive ones, or are born into families which don't nurture us the way we would like them to.

Why does this happen ?

We have not hurt or upset anyone, yet people seem pretty determined to hurt us.

Certain close relations behave in a way which actually undermines our growth in many ways.

The answer to these puzzles is in our past life.

We dont remember it.

It may not chronologically be the last one, but one which we lived hundreds of years ago.

If we take a persistent problem in a personal relationship, a health problem, a fear or a phobia, the roots invariably go into one or more past lives.

Along with such nasty things, we also bring along many positive traits like mastery in music (Motzart) or maths (Shakuntaladevi), sensitivity, large-heartedness, compassion, capacity to forgive - this list is a long one too, but we dont pause to wonder where these have come from !

Lets take an example.

A person has fear of heights.

She goes to the doctors, the psychiatrists, meditates, does everything possible to overcome it.

It is imperative for her to do so because her dream job is on the 38th floor and the house on the 12th.

All methods have failed to remove the fear on a permanent basis.

Now if she takes a session of Past Life Regression with the intention of finding out the root cause of this phobia, she will definitely go into those moments when she has died by falling off heights in one or several of past lives.

The feeling at death goes with the spirit, right into the cellular memory, to take birth along with the body and mind, as and when the spirit chooses to take birth again.

There is something else.

Each one of us has chosen each and every circumstance and people that 'happen' to us.

Our mother, father, colour of skin, physical/mental deformity, boy/girl-friend, husband/ wife and the lessons to learn.

And all this is BEFORE taking birth, in consultation with the spiritual guides that EACH one has.

So if a girl with Vertigo finds her dream job is on the 38th floor and the dream house on the 12th, then she has chosen to overcome her fear of heights in this lifetime, which is why these tough tests have come her way along with a solution which she has to search and trust.

In a PLR session, she will see herself dying from a fall, the pain, fear etc, but she will watch it from the distance of THIS lifetime, so she will be dispassionate, objective.

She will also, after that death, see herself lying but SHE will see this from above. T

he fact that only the body has died and SHE is complete and safe and free and out of pain will register.

This in turn will make the fear go forever.

Along with fears and phobias, what one definitely starts to lose after PLR sessions is the conscious or unconscious fear of death and learns to look at it as an exam which one has to give to move to the next level.

Now the next answer.

We dont try to change any trait in any other person.

If one wants change, one has to understand that this person is merely reacting to an unconscious memory or stimulus of a past lifetime.

He too has taken birth with his own agenda.

To take an example, if one is in an abusive relationship, it is not the wife's 'duty' to get beaten up.

The lesson for us to learn is to develop strength of mind, stop the abuse, insist on taking the person for medical help and counselling and if everything fails, move on.

If you carry on in the same situation, you are not learning the lesson you both chose for yourself and him, who depended on you to be strong and the pattern will repeat in a later lifetime.

Every lesson is actually about personal accountability and misplaced sympathy or putting up silently helps no one.

A session will take the person to the roots of problem, the actual cause and help in overcoming it.

Past Life Regression tells you a lot about yourself, where you come from and where you intend to go.

It does not automatically change ones behaviour but there is much more calmness and a wider perspective of life.

It gives one the bigger picture!

And believe me, there is always a Bigger Picture!
