The 7 Realms

Hi folks!

There is a question from Vinayak-

' A Soul is a micro or sub-atomic part of the main Cosmic Energy, and a Jeeva, a soul which has entered into the physical human body and contains an account of previous lifetimes. Are Soul and Jeeva two different things?'

This confusion would pertain to the Dwait and Adwait philosophies, which said that the Soul and God were two different things or one and the same thing.

There is one 'matter' which leaves the main body and starts its journey of exploration and evolution to eventually rejoin the original source.

This gets to be called a Soul, a Spirit,or anything the various languages and cultures of the world may think of.

Each language has its own word and definition for it, sometimes more than one too, but the 'matter' in question remains one.

'Soul' is an English word, 'Jeeva' a Sanskrit one.

Let us see what happens to us when we leave our body.

We know what happens when we take a bus, a train, a ship or a plane to some place on earth.

We are received if we have made such arrangements, taken to rest a bit and freshen up, then we set about to see the sights or settle in our jobs or studies.

If we have enough money, we go and live in comfort.

We earn, make plans and make all-out efforts to manifest them.

Something similar happens to us when we leave our body on earth.
Many, many people have described the various realms that one goes to when we die.

Today, I will tell you how Vispi and Ratoo Bhavnagari have described them.

1) The First Realm

This is the lowest and the blackest.

There are awful, deformed beings here who have negative thoughts and who move about on their stomachs.

Their bodies are very heavy and they always stay in extreme darkness.
This is a horrible realm.

2)The Second Realm

This is only slightly better than the First because the darkness here is a degree less.

The bodies of beings are not as horrendous or heavy.

They creep along in rocky caves, hate eachother and direct hateful thoughts to eachother.

3)The Third Realm

This one is slightly lighter than the first two.

The beings here have comparitively lighter bodies.

The atmosphere here is cloudy and smoky but not black and heavy.

The beings here have bodies like us humans but they are old and wrinkled.

They harbour negative thoughts and spend all their time in blaming others.

The beings here catch those people on earth who have been generally good but done something bad, as soon as they die and enslave them.

4)The Fourth Realm

This is like the half-way destination.

This realm resembles the Earth a lot.

The human soul begins its spiritual journey from this realm.

Both bad and good souls reside here and the choice of moving up or falling down is entirely individual.

If, after many, many lifetimes on the earth, you have progressed to a higher realm but then behaved badly in a lifetime, this is where you come to start your journey all over again.

5)The Fifth Realm

This resembles a beautiful place of great scenic beauty on earth.

It has a soothing light all the time ,and the spirits here are light of body.

They help eachother and harbour good thoughts.

If you have developed to this stage in your spiritual journey, your conscience will not allow you to behave badly on earth, and even if you do slip up, it still wont be bad enough to go below the Fourth Realm.

6)The Sixth Realm

This is very beautiful.

The trees, grass and flowers here have a beauty which cannot be described in words.

Such colours are not seen on earth.

This Realm seems to have a constant, gentle sunlight.

The beings here are light in body and beautiful.

There is love in abundance, no bad or negative thoughts and they help eachother in their work.

7)The Seventh Realm

This is The Highest Realm.

The beauty of this Realm cannot even be imagined by people on earth.

The beings have beautiful bodies which are light as a cloud.

They look young and live in complete harmony.

According to Vispi and Ratoo, each realm has further ten levels.

So what do you think of this account?!

There are some others who have described these too, and we will look into them some other time.

But generally, this is the most comprehensive description.

Do you think there is an afterlife?

What do you think happens to us when we die?

Do we die along with the body?

Do the gods /saints we have prayed to take us to their abode?

What is this abode like?

What do we do after we die?

Do let me know your thoughts.

It is these thoughts or lack of them, that completely govern our behaviour on the earth.

So long for now -

Paranormal Experiences

HI folks!

Ranjana has sent an extention to Usha's question.

Can one soul split and reside in two seperate bodies during the same lifetime?

The answer as far as I know, is no, it cannot.

I too have gone through the book she has mentioned and I too don't recollect the name right now, but though it claimed to be based on research, it did not give any information to back this claim.

Books by serious researchers and those who have stumbled on the realities of afterlife through an accident, near-death-experience, automatic writing or many such paranormal experiences, may write under a pseudonym to begin with for fear of ridicule, but they give all the details which can be verified.

Books by Dr. Brian Weiss, Dr. Raymond Moody, DR. Elizabeth Kubler-ross and many many others who are not medical doctors but have had paranormal experiences and/or done serious research give details as to where and how they conducted it, on how many people, whether their results can be held to be fairly conclusive and what further research needs to be undertaken.

There are, however, times when we wonder if it is possible for a soul to split and reside in two personalities because at tmes a person behaves most unlike himself/herself.

Sometimes, possession could be an explaination.
It happens, and its effects may be temporary or long lasting.

So, who possesses?
And who is possessed?

A person , when on earth, may have led a life in which he has behaved selfishly, cheated others, harmed, stolen, killed etc.

Such a person will not find his relatives or spiritual guides awaiting him when he leaves his body.

He will go to the first three of the lower realms which are full of similar cruel souls who have many of their own cravings still intact.

Those people on earth who have weak minds and are slaves of addictions like smoking, drinks, drugs, sex, violence are easy targets for such spirits who proceed to fulfil their cravings through them.

Our own spiritual behaviour, walking the right path without harming others, helping others etc act as a shield to safeguard us.

It should not be assumed that ALL those who smoke, drink etc are possessed!

Possession has variety too!

Some may become violent due to a particular cause, other spirits may block the poor fellow's happiness in many ways.

These people may be perfectly sane at other times.

There is no need to fear the bad spirits as long as one is balanced and on the right path.

It is however necessary for our own evolution to be aware that such things do occur, and to extend it a little further, to try to get out of the clutches of any addiction that we have!

I had thought of telling you about the various realms that exist beyond this earth, to one of which, each one of us goes after dying - or leaving our body.

However, I'm in a mood to share some of my other-worldly experiences today!

I learnt Reiki about 12 years ago and practised it religiously and regularly the first 3-4 years.

In the Second Degree, you are taught to send healing to people who are out of sight. They could even be in a different city or country.

(In the First Degree, healing is through physical touch.)

The second Degree also teaches to send prayers and healing messages to those who have just died.

A couple of days after learning this technique, a prominent personality of Pune died.

I immediately decided to send Reiki to him and did the required steps like mentally drawing the symbols, charging them with energy etc.

The next instant, I felt his presense near me.

He was very, very sad.

I could feel his pain and anguish and took some time to calm myself before trying to calm him.

He received the Reiki energy willingly, absorbing it quickly and almost greedily and calmed down slowly.

He was there for three days, then he was gone.

In the second instance, my husband and I were on a visit to the Kashmir valley when the TV announced that the noted social activist Sanjoy Ghose had been kidnapped from Majuli in Assam.

I hugely respected him and always read his wonderful research-based articles which had a humane, pragmatic touch.

I decided to send him Reiki and generally find out how he was.

The instant feed-back, his image, was not at all encouraging.

What came through was tremendous amount of fear, of being cheated, and helplessness.

He did not come back alive and the kidnappers made all sorts of wild claims.

I could track him for 3-4 days, then he was gone.

Experiences like these- sending healing vibrations to people and seeing them actually get better, following intuitions a bit sceptically at first but realising they work - there are many such things happening in each and everyone's life all the time.

They are beyond the scope of the normal and expected, hence the term Paranormal.
All we need to do to find out more or to get positive help, is be curious.

And keep an open mind.

Our right wishes and prayers are always answered.

Have you had any such experience?
Which seemed inexplicable then, or does so even now?

Do share!

So long for now-

Soul's Seven Stages-2

Hi folks!

Usha has sent a very interesting question-

Can there be two souls in one individual?

Like Maria,

Lets start at the very beginning!
A very good place to start!

The source that we all come from,is an all-encompassing creative force or energy.

For each of us, every individual who is on this earth, was and will be, it was his/her own choice to be born, to experience the joy of creation.

All of us have left the source out of our own choice and for the reason mentioned above.

Before leaving, we have also decided on the mode of our journey.

Some have chosen to beat a lonesome path.

Many have decided to come together in various relations, as friends or an extended circle of friends/colleagues.

When there are some who decide to come in a large group, of many thousands or more.

We begin as an Infant Soul in our behaviour, move on to the Baby, Young etc stages till we go back to the original source again, having satisfied our curiosity, so to say!

Each time that we leave our body, or die-as is commonly known, we meet others of our group who are also in the spiritual state, our seniors etc.

We decide , after due deliberation, the chart of our next life.

We may want to experience intense love for another soul in the next life and after consultation with that soul, both decide to be born as friends or a couple or mother-child etc.

Each physical body can inhabit only one spirit, or soul, so to answer your question, at times even if a person may seem to have a split personality or behave most unlike himself, there is only one permanent resident in his body.

He can however have conflicting patterns of thoughts leading to behaviour which is confusing to others.

Next timeI will tell you about the patterns that we have try to undo. Its very, very interesting!

Let me continue with the stages of the soul.

We have looked at the INFANT stage where sheer survival is the only over-riding agenda.

The BABY stage is where the basic fears have reduced considerably but there is a yearning for a rigid structure which gives a sense of security and belonging.

In the YOUNG SOUL stage, there is a desire to break away, be independent, to command and rule.

Next comes the MATURE stage of the soul.

After hundreds of lifetimes in each of the above stages, the soul starts to realise that there could be something more to life than I-MYSELF and ME!

Questions like 'Who am I?', 'Why am I'? etc. start cropping.

It now starts to search its exact place in the universal scheme of things.
This is a very interesting, exploratory stage and the soul spends many, many lifetimes learning to be non-judgemental, in trying to look inwards -now that he has discovered that there IS an inward direction too!

The MATURE SOUL, after innumerable lifetimes, becomes an OLD soul who tealises that we are all part of a single, wonderful whole and that we are all interconnected.

Such people have a very high level of personal integrity but they do not force their views on others.

They have a detached view of life and its ups and downs nad are equqnimous to everything.

It is not at all a given that by the time a soul has travelled this far, it will not have difficulties at all.

It will face hardships, death of loved ones, poverty, loss of money or prestige or whatever, according to his karma and choice.

It is in their reactions - or lack of them, that their maturity and evolution will show.

When all the OLD souls in a group evolve and come to a stage when they need not go back, they become a complete entity.

A member of this entity may, of his own accord, decice to come to earth to help humanity along the path of evolution.

Such souls are called the TRANSCENDENTAL SOULS.They bring a tremendous amount of good vibrations with them and bring about many positive social changes.

The seventh is the INFINITE SOUL which is a manifestation of the Original Source, what one could call the Divine.

They have the ability to raise the consciousness level of the entire earth.

These, then, are The Seven Stages of The Soul.

We find all of them at the same time all around us.

We are all a part of this - and at every stage have our upper limits of understanding things.

Its like a student of second std will definitely get confused, awestruck and probably unbelieving about whats taught in the tenth std or the university.

Our ignorance does not negate the existence of knowledge.

So long for now!

Read.

Chew on it and digest!

Think!

And Enjoy!

Soul's Seven Stages -1

Hi folks!

Have you started identifying the dramas around you?!

Start it as a fun exercise.

You may be able to identify many more such traits too.

Sometime later, I will add a few more to the basic list of 4 already given.

Today I want to share with you, a theory about the evolution of our soul.

Read it as an an interesting exposition, even if you do not believe in the existence of one!

All souls are part of the Divine Source and leave it to enjoy for themselves the joy of creation.

Their journey is always towards the source, but when they leave, they start from the bottom.

It is like a boy who wants to become a scientist.

He has to go to the Nursery first, then the Primary School.

Learn the alphabets, words and sentences, paragraphs and subjects.

Then the high school, college and other higher specialised studies.

Along the way, he learns social skills, sports, modes of enjoyment etc. which may or may not be good for his ultimate aim.

He may also, for a while in school or during holidays forget his chosen aim,but will get back to it, eventually.

Thats how it is, with our soul!

The soul which has left the original source,is totally new to the environment.

Its one and only instinct and over-riding need is survival.

Though those born in primitive conditions, in deep forests and gorges are examples of INFANT SOULS, I think if you take instincts into account, such people are found everywhere in the world.

In cities, rich countries, poor neighbourhoods-almost everywhere, you will see those who avoid stepping out into the unknown.

They are frightened for their lives.

Once the basic survival issues have been dealt with after many lifetimes as an infant soul, comes the stage of the BABY SOUL.

They dont think that everyone is out to kill them or that they have to kill in order to survive, but they still feel safe only in a rigid structure, either religious or political or ideological.

They are blind followers, ready for violence against perceived threats to their safety.

We find them all over the world as grassroot workers of political parties, cult-followers, foot-soldiers, followers of monastic orders of all religions and sects etc.

The strict rules ,discipline and structure gives them a feeling of safety, of belonging.

The baby soul slowly learns to get over its fears and be comfortable in living its life in the society.

Now it starts to think like an individual and wants to check how strong it can become.

This is the YOUNG SOUL, learning and wanting to dominate, be independent.

Look around and you will see them striving for fame, wealth and power.

They want everything their way.

They display various skills, powers of persuasion over masses by their oratory, a sharp mind for business,a dictatorial attitude.

These are some examples.

It is the baby souls who make the young souls possible, as both feed on each other.

All over the world, political leaders of all leanings, military and religious dictators, cult leaders, business tycoons etc fall under this category.

In todays post, I will leave you with this to chew over!

Does this answer a question as to why that unidentifiable mass of people or society behaves the way it does?

Because at any given time there are all types residing in it.

The infant, baby and young souls, apart from the 4 others.

Do you fall in any of the categories mentioned above?

Bye for now.

The Energy Stealers

Hi folks!

Today's post is about something very, very practical which you can start using immediately.

Whether you believe in life after life or rebirth or not, one thing is sure.

We are alive because we have life, or energy- spiritual energy, as some would call it.

We are beings of energy.

Now think.

Have you ever felt irritated/anxious/scared/ drained/apprehensive in someone's presence?

Did you feel relieved when you were able to get away?

Why does this happen?

We try to control our surroundings and the people around us to the best of our ability.

Some ask a 100 questions.

Others bear down on us with authority.

Some try to create an aura of mystery and superiority by being aloof.

Yet others are always in need of advice and help.

So how does this drama unfold?

Lets take an example.

A person is in the habit of asking a hundred questions.

Where did you go?

Who did you meet?

Who else was there?

Cant you remember?

What did they say?

But why didnt you say this?

Couldn't you have done that?

You get the drift?

They may be very close relatives or friends or the boss.

Their overt or mostly covert agenda is to find a fault and criticize.

We would call it a personality trait, habit, thats-how-he/she-is.

Even if its true, why do they behave this way?

They are setting up a drama.

When you start answering, you go on the defensive, become self-conscious , try to give complete attention-and thats when this type of person steals your energy from you.

You end up judging yourself by his standards and feel inadequate around him, thus lowering your defenses to let him drain you even more.

These are the INTERROGATORS.

Think back to your childhood, your immediate family, and remember how each member behaved.

Your mother, father, siblings, teachers, those older to you, because thats where the habit- patterns are set, seeds of offensive and defensive behaviour are sown.

If one has grown up with an Interrogator, even as a child, one starts to grow defenses.

You may become POOR-ME.

Think about all the people who get work done out of everybody by their clever manipulation.

They look so helpless, depressed, in need of succor, that you give in to their silent remonstration or open whining and end up being the sucker - yet again.

They have stolen your energy- again, leaving you irritated, guilty, for being unable to do more or just unsettled.

They always make you feel you could have done more for them, even when they are far away.

There is a third.

The ALOOF.

This type creates an aura of mystery around himself.

He will behave secretive, all-knowing, superior.

When someone tries to draw him out, he will give vague answers, forcing the person to struggle-and thats how the energy is stolen.

You would recognise many belonging to this category.

They themselves may be aware of this on a superior level, as a deliberately cultivated tool to impress, to get information and unaware that they are stealing energy from the other person but this is the hidden agenda!

The fourth one is called the INTIMIDATER.

Remember the neighbourhood bully,or certain 'friends' from school, a particular close relative(or two) who manipulated to get their own way?

It was not their way, it was everybody's energy they were after.

The moment you got caught up in their drama by responding or merely paying attention-obeying comes much later, you start leaking your energy.

So how do you stop this?

Refuse to be a part of someone else's drama.

To succeed in this, go back to your childhood and analyse what kind of dramas you were a part of.

Each person has traits of all these dramas, but there is always a dominant one.

Come to an honest conclusion about who you are.

Are you an Interrogator, an Intimidator,Aloof or Poor Me?

You wont need to be any of these if you are careful not to steal energy from others.

Instead, source your own energy requirements from the universe which is an abundant and unending source, the Fountainhead.

And how does one do that?

MEDITATE.

Whatever form of meditation you follow or have always been wanting to take up, do it right away.

If a formal session is some time away, try this-

Sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes and pay attention to your breathing.

Imagine the incoming breath going everywhere inside your body and cleansing it, topping up your energy.

Imagine the outgoing breath detoxing your mind and body.

It is the mind which creates the toxins, so calm it at least twice a day so that it does not create any.

Before troubling or affecting others, its going to affect you, remember!

Think this over.

Its interesting to become aware of the dramas being played out around you.

It is even more so when you stop identifying quickly and being a part of one.

Bye for now.

Laws of Happiness

Hi folks,

Glad about your responses, in comments and in the mail!

This is my first such venture, after all!

And that too, thanks to the prodding of Hrishikesh!

Today, I want to tell you about my spiritual brothers-VISPI and RATU Bhavnagari.

They were from Byculla- Mumbai, were expert car-drivers and took part in several motor rallies.

One day in 1980, they took their car on a routine trial- run before a rally and died in an accident.

Their parents were naturally devastated, but after a few days, their mother Khorshed came to know that 'two brothers who had died in a car accident' had contacted a particular lady who conducted seances , to reach out to their parents to comfort them.

Though unbelieving, they met her and eventually Khorshed aunty herself started communicate with them through Automatic Writing.

Her writing, dictated by VISPI and RATU, became a set of 5 books called "THE LAWS OF THE SPIRIT WORLD".

These are the first books I read which were written from the 'other' side.

Later, I read many more, but these are different because of their tone.

All the other books talk about love, forgiveness, the wonderful world beyond etc. etc.

These books stress on good behaviour, honesty, an ethical life and reducing one's ego.

To not to be selfish, stubborn or rude.

They stress on tolerance, sharing and accepting certain restrictions on one's likes as we are on this earth to learn certain things and train for a better place when we leave it.

I have mentioned about VISPI and RATU as I will be refering to them sometimes in my future posts, and I wanted you to know about them.

For now, I will end with what VISPI stressed on many times-

Get rid of negative thoughts immediately.

He described them as doubts/this wont happen/that(good things) wont happen/I will die/ nobody loves me/ I dont deserve it/I am useless/everyone is against me and many more in the same vein.

Thoughts create vibrations, and negative vibrations create powerful blocks in receiving joy.

So be positive.

Help the Universe to direct happiness towards you!

Life is beautiful. (Conditions apply)!

Death is a smilestone.

Hi folks,

Today in my first post, I am going to tell you how I started off on this very interesting research on-

'What is death?'

'Is there life after death?'

'Is there a rebirth?'

'Who decided to give me so many problems?!' etc.

I also believed that they were questions which would remain in the mists of unsubstantiated but lofty, weighty words from scriptures and philosophies of various religions.

So it was a pleasent surprise when I started to get answers which were beyond anything esoteric, which were practical and joyous!

Let me tell you the facts that I have gathered on what happens to us after we die.

When we die, the first thing we realize is that we are living!

We see our body away from us, lying or sitting or whatever.

We see our relatives grieving and try to tell them that there is no need for sorrow, you are fine, really!

Those who have died of illness, been in pain, or an accident, find themselves out of pain.

Those with physical deformity like blindness or deformed body find themselves whole again.

This is so because all these are related to the body and

WE- ARE -NOT-OUR-BODY!

At the moment of our death on the earth, we may be alone,or in the hospital or surrounded by doctors, relatives and friends.

The moment we leave our body, we meet the people who have come to receive us.

It could be a dear relative or friend who has died before us.

Those who die when all the relatives are still on earth, as in infancy or as an orphan, are met by spiritual guides who have taken this task upon themselves.

Many of us don't immediately cross over to wherever!

We like to watch our last rites, who came, whose grief was real and who was acting!

It is all so fascinating, knowing you are alive and fine and that Death is not at all the end of the journey but just another milestone in a long, long journey.

It is after some time that we move on, and see for ourselves whether we have made this into a Smilestone!

It depends only on how we have lived our lives on earth, in the right way, or wrong.

The good way, or bad.

But how do we know whats good or bad, right or wrong?

I will talk about 'The Laws Of The Spirit World' as explained by Vispi and Ratu Bhavnagari in a set of books of the same name in my next post.

In the meantime, chew on this, and let me know what you feel about this whole aspect of death.

Hi everybody

Hi Folks!

I shall be writing about Past life, Reincarnation and our life between two lives.

There will be some of my own experiences, some of other's and information from some relevent books related to the topic.
